Troubleshooting (Base)

I still have triangles

  • Enable Select Remaining Triangles and clean the selected areas manually.
  • Lower your angle limit if you're getting ugly quads on curved surfaces; raise it if conversion is too conservative.
  • Try Quick Fix first — it runs merge doubles and degenerate cleanup before conversion, which often recovers tris that plain conversion misses.

Conversion fails or looks broken

  • Your mesh may be non-manifold. The Mesh Health check will flag Non-manifold edges — click Fix to repair automatically, then retry.
  • Try enabling degenerate cleanup with a small distance, or use Quick Fix which includes this step.

QuadriFlow button is disabled

  • The mesh exceeds the 100k face limit. The button shows an explicit message ("mesh has N faces, limit 100k") with a suggestion to reduce poly count first.
  • Run Reduce Poly Count first, then retry QuadriFlow.

QuadriFlow freezes or times out

  • Reduce face count first or use a smaller target face count.
  • Use Convert to Quads instead for very dense meshes.

Shading artifacts after reduction

  • Recalculate normals and inspect for pinching caused by decimation.
  • The Mesh Health check can flag Flipped normals automatically.

Quad coverage indicator shows wrong value

  • The indicator resets automatically when you select a different object. If it's showing stale data, select away and back, then re-run the conversion.
