Chat History & Sessions

Every chat conversation is saved as a session, so you can pick up where you left off, revisit how a scene was built, or run multiple parallel conversations without losing any of them.

The History Panel

Open the History panel in the MCP Pro N-panel to see a paginated list of all past sessions. Each entry shows an auto-generated title (taken from your first message in that session) and supports:

  • Load — reopen a session in the Chat tab, restoring its full message history.
  • Rename — give a session a custom title instead of the auto-generated one.
  • Favorite — pin a session so it's easy to find later.
  • Delete — remove a session permanently (a confirmation prompt appears first).

Use the pagination controls at the bottom of the panel to move between pages if you have a long history.

Starting a New Session

Click New Session in the Chat tab at any time to start a clean conversation. Your previous session is saved automatically and remains available in the History panel — nothing is lost by starting a new one.

Where Sessions Are Stored

Sessions are saved locally as individual files, along with a record of the most recently active session so BlenderMCP Pro can reopen it automatically next time you start Blender. Nothing is uploaded anywhere — session storage is entirely local to your machine, separate from whichever AI provider you're using for the actual chat requests.
