Pro 3.0 workflow: the default target-aware production path is Asset Compiler followed by Ship Gate. This page documents an advanced or manual Pro tool that remains available alongside the compiler.
Export guards prevent exporting assets that violate your pipeline rules. They exist to stop bad assets from reaching the engine.
Typical guards
- Scale/unit not validated
- UV stretch beyond threshold
- Density inconsistent for asset class
- Topology hazards present (degenerates, loose elements)
Philosophy
Fail early. It’s cheaper than debugging broken imports downstream.
