Manual Mode
Manual Mode is for controlled, local edits. It’s where you fix the last 10% without risking the whole mesh.
When to use Manual Mode
- Only part of the mesh needs quadification or cleanup
- You need to preserve seams, borders, or sharp features while operating
- You want cleanup passes without “pipeline-wide” changes
Typical flow
- Scope the area you want to affect (selection / vertex group / material / region)
- Run a scoped quadify or cleanup pass
- Validate result quickly (normals, poles, tiny edges, shading)
- Repeat with tighter settings instead of cranking one aggressive pass
Next
If you want selection-level operations, go to Selection Quadify.
If you want structured cleanup, go to Multi-Pass Cleanup.
