Multi-Pass Cleanup

Multi-pass cleanup is how you get stability: you run a sequence of small, controlled cleanups rather than one heavy pass.

What it targets

  • Tiny edges and sliver faces
  • Pole hotspots (high-valence vertices) that cause shading noise
  • Long-thin quads that are hard to edit and deform poorly
  1. Start conservative (remove only obvious artifacts)
  2. Check shading and silhouette
  3. Increase thresholds gradually only if necessary
