QA Overview

QA in Pro is about catching pipeline failures early: density inconsistency, UV stretch, curvature hotspots, deform risk, and scale/export mistakes.

What to check

• Density consistency
• UV stretch
• Curvature hotspots that will collapse during reduction
• Normals stability and shading noise
• Deform Risk — pre-rig topology check for high-valence poles, uneven density, and non-quad faces

Deform Risk Check

The Deform Risk Check is in the Optimize → QA tab. It returns a GREEN / AMBER / RED rating with a one-line summary. It is a heuristic rule-based check — fast and usable without an API key, distinct from Quadify Ultra's ML-powered Animatability Score.

Run this on any mesh that will be rigged before handing it off. An AMBER or RED result should be investigated before the LOD chain is generated, since LOD reduction amplifies topology problems.
