Quadify Premium — Changelog

Release history for Quadify Premium. Current version: 2.6.0.

v2.6.0 — Overlay, Health Check, Snapshots, LOD Naming

New features:

Live Quad Overlay — viewport tint showing green quads and red tris in real time. In Semi-Manual mode switches to region colours: red for Protect, green for Focus, yellow for Transition. Throttled to 150ms for performance on dense meshes.

Mesh Health Check — runs automatically during Analyze & Prepare. Reports non-manifold edges, zero-area faces, flipped normals, and loose vertices with counts. One-click Fix All Issues button.

Before/After Snapshot — saves a QP_Before shape key before any destructive operation when Auto Snapshot is enabled. Toggle button flips between states; trash button clears.

LOD Naming Conventions — new dropdown with Unity (AssetName_LOD0), Unreal (SM_AssetName_LOD0), and Simple formats. Estimated output face counts shown per level before running.

Density Readout — live tris/m² shown in Mesh Summary with delta vs target after every operation.

Quad Coverage Progress Bar — visual fill in Mesh Summary showing quad percentage after conversion.

Per-object Analyze State — analyzed state now stored per object. Switching to a different object no longer resets the panel.

Fixes: Mesh Summary now updates immediately after operations (was showing stale data). dissolve_limited passes removed from the conversion pipeline — these were destroying thin structural geometry like window frames. AI_SCAN mode no longer auto-applied to real vehicle/CAD imports. shape_threshold tightened from 0.6 to 0.4. Threading removed from batch processing — replaced with sequential loop after random crashes. Version numbers synced across bl_info and blender_manifest.toml.

Improved quadification pipeline. Disabled AI mesh remeshing by default.

Renamed Batch Mode to Apply to Selected Objects. Improved tooltips across all settings and operators. Density Target workflow refined.
