ML & Display Settings
The ML & Display sub-panel controls what the panel shows, how the ML system behaves, community model updates, and telemetry. Collapsed by default.
Display
- Show ML Confidence % — shows the ML confidence score alongside the algorithm recommendation in the main panel. Turn off for a cleaner panel if you prefer manual algorithm selection.
- Show Alternative Strategies — shows the secondary ML suggestions in the results panel when the primary result is below threshold. Turn off if you always want to make algorithm choices manually.
- Compact Mode — reduces the panel to essential controls only, hiding per-stat breakdowns, backup names, UV notices, and secondary info rows. Useful on small screens or when you're processing many objects quickly.
Machine Learning
- Enable ML Routing — toggles the KNN routing system. When disabled, Ultra always uses the Default Algorithm from Algorithm Settings. Leave enabled unless you are debugging a specific algorithm.
- QA Reports after operations — runs the ML quality predictor after every operation and shows a grade summary in the results card.
- Batch Processing — enables the Batch Processing sub-panel. Turn off to hide it and reduce visual noise when doing single-object workflows.
The Experience DB section shows the current operation count and the best-performing algorithm from your history once 10+ operations are recorded.
Community ML Model
Click Check for Model Update to download the latest aggregated model weights from opted-in users worldwide. The download contains only statistical model data — no individual records, no mesh data, no personal information. After downloading, the status line shows the last update date and total global operation count.
Updates are cumulative — each download includes all previous data. The local routing model improves immediately after downloading.
Telemetry
Share anonymous usage data — off by default. A one-time consent dialog appears on first use. When enabled, the following is sent to the community model database:
- 18 geometric feature ratios (numbers only — no mesh geometry)
- Algorithm used and quad percentage achieved
- Whether a correction pass was run
Mesh geometry, vertex positions, filenames, object names, and personal information are never transmitted. Your preference persists across Blender sessions. See the Privacy Policy for full details.
ML Experience Log
The About & Quick Start panel shows the last 10 operations from the local experience database with algorithm name, quad coverage %, and object name. A Clear Log button wipes the local database — do this if your mesh types have changed significantly and you want the routing to start fresh from the community model baseline.
